Speaking among supporters in northwestern province of Badghis on Monday, presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah assured Badghis residents of addressing some of their major concerns upon winning the election.
The gathering was held in Qala-E-Naw, the center of Badghis province, as a part of the runoff campaigns in which candidates discuss their five-year plans.
“If we win the runoff, we will solve your problems. Among other things, we will provide electricity and sanitary water," Abdullah said. "We will also complete the ring road." .
Abdullah’s vice-presidents, present at the gathering, asked the people of Badghis to support their team and participate in the runoff.
“We ask you and all Afghan citizens to take part in the runoff on June 14," Abdullah's Vice President Mohammad Mohaqaq said. "Our team is consistent with martyr ideals and will meet your demands."
Abdullah Abdullah is the first candidate who has visited the northwestern province of Badghis so far.
