New commissioner of Howlwadaag appointed

A handover ceremony was held last in Mogadishu in which the district commissioner of Howlwadaag was replaced. After a decree from the Governor of Benadir & Mayor of Mogadishu, Mohamed Abukar Jacfar was stranded of his title.

Speaking at the ceremony held at the Howlwadaag district centre, Mr. Jacfar claimed that during his time as commissioner, he enforced tough security measures in the district.

“When I was appointed commissioner of Howlwadaag, Al-Shabaab had a strong presence in the district but I’m sure all of you can tell how the security situation is now.” Said former commissioner Mr.Jacfar

Ahmed Nur Abdi was appointed the new district commissioner of Howlwadaag and praised outgoing commissioner for the positive things he has incurred in the district over the years. Mr. Abdi pledged that his new administration plans to continue where Mr. Jacfar left off.
