Prime Minister Jantoro Satybaldiyev today at a meeting of Ata –Jurt faction expressed his opinion that he is against the consideration of issues of Kumtor in a referendum.
He said that, there is no need to hold a referendum on the issue. "According to the draft agreement, the government is responsible for this issue. In addition, the agreement shall not pass ratification process, the Parliament should only support," said Satybaldiyev.
Yesterday, MPs offered to conduct a referendum on the Kumtor issue and there raised a question is it possible to consider the issue in referendum.
