The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has approved the schedule for door to door verification of voters’ in Karachi. The process will take 69 days to complete.
According to the schedule, voter lists’ from Karachi will be handed over to officers by December 30 and from January 5 teams with the aid of the army and FC will begin the door to door verification process. This process is expected to be completed by January 22 and a daily report would be submitted during these 18 days.
Individuals who received their identity cards between September 1 and December 15 would be registered as voters. NADRA will complete the registration of voters’ by February 10 and the list will be sent to the registration officer. This process will be completed by February 20.
After the entire verification process in complete, the final list will be set on February 24.
