Jakarta (ANTARA) - As many as 40 world leaders and three international organizations have congratulated Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on winning the 17 April presidential election, following the May 21 announcement made by the General Elections Commission (KPU).
KPU's final tally indicated a win for incumbent President Jokowi and his running mate Ma'ruf Amin in the election by garnering 55.5 percent of the votes, outshining Prabowo-Sandi, who had received 44.5 of the votes.

« Vu que M. Abadou souffre de problèmes de santé qui l’empêchent d’assumer ses fonctions, la gestion de l’ONM est confiée, jusqu’à nouvel ordre, à M. Mohand Ouamar Benlhadj, membre du secrétariat national, chargé de la publication et de la documentation », a précisé le texte repris par l’agence officielle.
Israel faces possible second election amid coalition crisis
JERUSALEM — Israel’s parliament on Monday passed a preliminary motion to dissolve itself. The move further pushed the country toward an unprecedented political impasse, less than two months after elections seemed to promise Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a new mandate.
If the bill receives final passage in a vote scheduled Wednesday, Israel would be forced to hold new elections — sending the political system into disarray.

Yemen separatist leader says UAE 'occupying' south
A leader in Yemen's southern separatist movement has accused the UAE of occupying the war-torn country's south, due to the Gulf state's military and economic presence in the region.
Ali Mohammed al-Saadi made the criticism in an online statement on Saturday, local media reported.
