Four Electoral Lists Compete in Hizbullah Stronghold

In Hizbullah's stronghold of Baalbek-Hermel district, a new electoral list called the National Cedar list was officially registered at the Interior Ministry on Friday to compete against Hizbullah-AMAL alliance in the upcoming elections.

The National News Agency said the list of ten candidates was submitted to the ministry Friday to win ten seats distributed as follows: 6 Shiite seats, 2 Sunni seats, 1 Catholic, 1 Maronite.

MP from the state of law bloc, Zeinab al-Basri said president Fuad Masum is responsible for all the consequences of delaying the budget.
Basri said in a press statement that "the President of the Republic deliberately delay the budget because of the share of the Kurdistan region, which was stipulated in the Constitution, trying to violate the law and the Constitution to return the Kurdistan share of 17%," considering that "Masum is the first and last responsible for all the consequences of delaying the budget.

The Progressive Socialist Party and the Lebanese Forces on Thursday submitted to the Interior Ministry their electoral lists for the Chouf-Aley and Baabda districts.

PSP chief MP Walid Jumblat's son “Taimur Jumblat visited Thursday morning the headquarters of the Interior Ministry in Sanayeh, where he registered the Reconciliation List of the Chouf-Aley district,” a PSP statement said.

El líder del partido-milicia chií libanés Hezbolá, Hasán Nasralá, ha pedido este miércoles que se "mejore"la ley electoral y ha asegurado que su partido no presenta impedimentos sobre el presidente libanés, Michael Aoun,en relación con las conversaciones sobre la estrategia de defensa después de las elecciones.

Vice President Nuri al-Maliki called for a broad participation in the elections and actively contribute to granting the visionaries capable of making the achievements to work and to create a promising future for all Iraqis.

"Iraqi tribes are a source of strength for society," Maliki said during a meeting with elders and tribal elders in Al-Muthanna province, according to a statement by his media office. Added "Iraq is distinguished by multiple tribes because they represent the spectrum of the Iraqi people, Arabs, Kurds, Turkmen and various religions."

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi said during a TV interview on Tuesday that Egyptians should not feel scared of speaking out freely, and that he is not responsible for the fact that he is not facing strong competition in the upcoming presidential elections.

LF, Mustaqbal Will Only Ally in Akkar, Baalbek-Hermel

The Lebanese Forces and al-Mustaqbal Movement will only be allied in the Akkar and Baalbek-Hermel districts in the upcoming parliamentary elections, the LF said on Tuesday.

Electoral negotiations over the other districts “have stopped,” the LF's official website reported.

“The LF's candidate for Akkar's Greek Orthodox seat, retired Maj. Gen. Wehbe Qatisha, will join al-Mustaqbal Movement's list” in the district, the website added.

“Mustaqbal's leadership has been informed of this,” it said.

Un grupo de seguidores de Saif al Islam, hijo del fallecido líder de Libia Muamar Gadafi, ha lanzado su candidatura a las presidenciales de este año en el país durante un acto celebrado en Túnez.

El grupo, llamado Frente Popular para la Liberación de Libia (PFLL), inició sus actividades en 2017 y haasegurado que su objetivo es lograr unificar Libia, según ha recogido el diario 'The Libya Herald'.
