Pakistan’s supreme court has begun hearings that will decide the future of the prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, who is fighting for his job and contesting a damning corruption report by an investigative panel.
The supreme court is expected to order Sharif be tried Sharif on corruption charges, or disqualify him, but few expect the judges to dismiss the case after the panel tabled a damaging 254-page report into his family wealth.

Cientos de policías se manifestaron en el centro de Túnez la semana pasada para exigir la aprobación de una ley de “protección de las fuerzas de seguridad”, cuyo borrador ya recibió el beneplácito del Gobierno antes del verano y se halla atascado en el Parlamento. QUETTA: The Election Commissioner of Balochistan, Mohammad Naeem Majeed Jaffar, has said that all arrangements have been completed for holding on July 15 by-elections in NA-260 Quetta-cum-Chagai.
The National Assembly constituency comprises some parts of Quetta, Chagai and Noshki districts. Necessary instructions have been issued to the deputy commissioners for holding free, fair and transparent elections.
The Provincial Election Commissioner said that measures had also been undertaken for conducting elections in a peaceful atmosphere.

TIRANA, June 27/ATA/ – Preliminary election results published by Central Elections Committee (CEC) today show that the Socialist Party heads with 48.41 % votes while 5 105 of ballot boxes are counted out of the remaining 5 362 in total.
CEC preliminary data until 6:20 am result in Socialist Party with 726.290 votes or 48.41%, Democratic Party with 432.885 votes or 28.86%.
Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) is third with 216.330 votes or 14.42%, PJIU fourth with 69.992 votes or 4.67%, LIBRA with 18.363 votes or 1.22%, SDP with 12.914 votes or 0.86%.
IEC Announces Election Date: July next year

The IEC has announced the election date for parliamentary and district council elections – 7 July 2018. Addressing a press conference on Thursday afternoon, IEC chief Najibullah Ahmadzai said work is underway to ensure a free and fair election. Ahmadzai said the IEC has learnt much from past elections and that because of the war there are problems. He said however, that government needs to focus on vulnerable areas in order to hold successful elections.

(TAP) - The Mourakiboun Network and the Tunisian Association for the Integrity and Democracy of Elections (ATIDE) published on Tuesday the detailed results of the first day of the registration operation on the electoral register for the 2017 municipal elections.
Both associations noted gaps in the publication of lists of registration centres and offices that were set up by the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE).
