Egyptian presidential frontrunner Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi appreciated Saudi Arabia for its support to Egypt and its people.

In the first ever television interview, the former army chief said Saudi Arabia would be the first country that he will visit as the president of Egypt if he wins the elections slated for May 26-27, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

In the interview with the privately owned TV stations CBC and ONTV on Tuesday, Al-Sisi expressed his respect and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, describing the King as the Arabs’ philosopher and sage. He also prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the Kingdom and its people from all evil.

Al-Sisi thanked all other countries that helped Egypt to come out of its crisis. The presidential hopeful hoped that he would be able to solve most of the problems facing the nation’s economy. “Within two years, the Egyptian people will experience an overall improvement in their standard of living,” he added.
