« Les FARE sont dans l’opposition. L’opposition et la majorité,  je le dis et  je le répète, Ce ne sont pas des menaces. Ce ne sont pas les attaques personnelles qui vont faire taire l’opposition et la majorité a intérêt à s’organiser, sans injures, arguments contre arguments … ». C’est la réaction de l’ex-premier ministre du Mali, Modibo Sidibé, président du parti des forces Alternance pour le Renouveau et l’Emergence, lequel a désormais opté pour l’opposition.

PETALING JAYA: Despite the chaos of the PKR elections, especially in Selangor, the party’s elections chairman Datuk Johari Abdul has deemed it as “a success”.

In a press conference held at the party headquarters yesterday, Johari played down the reports of the irregularaties which led to the elections at 27 out of 198 divisions to be suspended.

He said the participation from the candidates and voter turnout was higher than the last party election in 2010.

Rabah Khraifi, membre de la commission de tri des candidatures de l'instance de la vérité et de la dignité a déclaré, ce mardi 13 mai 2014, que plus de 50 recours ont été reçus concernant les dossiers de candidatures. 

Il a indiqué que l'examen de ces dossiers, s'effectuera par les membres de la commission de tri.

. Depuis qu’il a été élu député en Commune V du District de Bamako, Moussa Timbiné est devenu emphatique. Véritable perturbateur, à la limite irrespectueux et immature, il ne rate aucune occasion pour se faire remarquer lors des séances plénières à l’Assemblée nationale.

PKR polls: Khalid to sue Manikavasagam over vote-buying allegations

PETALING JAYA: Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim will take former Kapar member of parliament S. Manikavasagam to court for accusing him of corrupt practices and vote-buying.

“I have ordered the lawyer to submit a Notice of Claim suit against Manikavasagam for accusing me of corruption by buying votes,” Khalid tweeted on Tuesday morning.

Manikavasagam has claimed that he has audio recordings which suggest that an officer aligned to Khalid was paying people RM50 each for votes.

Abdullah Claims Fraudulent Votes Counted

The leading Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah’s electoral team on Monday accused the Independent Elections Commission (IEC) of entering “more than half a million fraudulent votes” into the database, calling on the Electoral Complains Commission (ECC) to review their complaints.

The new waves of complaints come as the ECC is finalizing their two-week long review of allegations of fraud and making the final decision on how many votes to be invalided.

Abdi Barre Yusuf, a parliamentarian of the Somali Federal Government who is among legislators in the Finance Committee, reported to Shabelle on the recent corruption claims involving the Ministry of Finance.

The Member of Parliament confirmed that he has received incriminating evidence that the State Minister of Foreign Affairs ordered the compensation of $300,000 USD to a company that imported thousands of kilograms of sugar from abroad at Mogadishu seaport.

40% of electorate ‘undecided’ on presidential race

A public opinion poll conducted by pollster the Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) has found that forty percent of voters have yet to decide who to vote for in the July presidential election.

LSI interviewed 2,400 respondents in 33 provinces with a margin of error of 2 percent from May 1 to 9, as reported by tribunnews.com.

"Based on various simulations, up to 40 percent of the general public are undecided on their choices for president or vice president," LSI researcher Adjie Alfaraby said on Tuesday.

LAHORE: An opposition coalition is in the offing as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) discussed the formation of a grand alliance against the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) government, Express News reported on Tuesday.

MP Dalha calls on gov’t to investigate corruption scandal

Mohamed Omar Dalha, a Member of Parliament reported to Shabelle that he is calling on the Somali Federal Government to investigate the latest of claims of corruption among the government involving the Ministry of Finance.

Mr. Dalha said that the responsibility of the parliamentary finance committee is to monitor and track mass money withdrawals and verify that the sums are being used for official reasons only, to avoid corruption among politicians and other officials.

PAN to announce Hatta’s vice presidential nomination

Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa are set to be announced as a presidential-vice presidential ticket at the National Mandate Party's (PAN) national work meeting (Rakernas), which will take place at the party’s central executive board office in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Head of PAN's central executive board, Viva Yoga Mauladi, who is also the party’s campaign team, said party chairman Hatta would be the Gerindra Party's presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto’s, running mate in the July election.
