Las fuerzas antimotines dispersaron con gases lacrimógenos a los sudaneses que le reclaman al consejo militar una transición civil tras la dimisión del presidente Omar al Bashir hace un mes, informaron hoy medios de prensa.
 
Portales como Africanews divulgaron imágenes de las protestas, el uso de gases y la eliminación de los bloqueos de carreteras por parte de las autoridades.

Dozens of Lebanese military and security veterans burned tires and shouted angrily outside government offices on Friday, their second protest in less than two weeks amid fears a proposed austerity budget may affect their pensions and benefits.

The protesters gathered in downtown Beirut as ministers met to discuss a budget bill that aims to cut public spending and tackle a national debt that stands at more than 150% of GDP. They denounced leaked reports of cuts to their pensions, calling on the government to address corruption instead.

Algerians staged demonstrations in capital Algiers on the first Friday of the Ramadan fasting month to reiterate their demand for the immediate departure of all government officials linked to the regime of former President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

The 82-year-old Bouteflika stepped down early last month following weeks of popular protest against his 20-year rule.

The army is now overseeing a 90-day transitional period, and has promised to hold presidential elections sometime in July.

Thousands of protesters continued to stage demonstrations on the first Friday of Ramadan outside army headquarters in Khartoum to demand that Sudan’s ruling Military Transitional Council (MTC) hand over power to a civilian authority.

In a Friday sermon delivered near the protest, Abdul-Rahman Hassan, a prominent preacher, urged the MTC to prosecute figures close to ousted President Omar al-Bashir for their alleged role in violence against protesters.
