Bosnian Prime Minister Denis Zvizdic, and the Prime Ministers of the country’s two political entities, Republika Srpska’s [RS] Zeljka Cvijanovic and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s [FBiH] Fadil Novalic, still couldn't agree on the adoption of a coordination mechanism between Bosnian institutions.
 
The agreement is  a central component of the country’s efforts to become an EU ascension candidate.

"No ha llegado el momento para una tercera ronda (de negociaciones). Lo estamos intentando hacer tan pronto como sea posible, pero la palabra que habría que subrayar es 'posible'", comentó de Mistura, quien actúa como mediador en las conversaciones políticas entre el gobierno y la oposición siria.

The National Assembly yesterday witnessed rumpus in the middle of budgetary proceedings when Defence Minister Khwaja Asif used derogatory language against PTI chief whip Shireen Mazari.

Pointing towards Ms Mazari, Asif remarked, “Someone make this tractor-trolley keep quiet” when she and some other lawmakers protested to his speech on loadshedding during Ramazan.

“Make her voice more feminine,” he said, according to eyewitnesses. Another lawmaker chimed in from the government benches to say “Keep quiet, aunty.”

The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that Bosnia is violating human rights by not letting a Muslim Bosniak residing in the Serb part of the country run for president. Bosnia has three months to appeal.

The settlement ending the 1992-95 war carved the country into two regions — a Serb region and one shared by the Bosniaks and Croats. The county's presidency must consist of a Serb from the Serb region and a Bosniak and Croat from the other.

El presidente del Parlamento de Líbano, Nabih Berri, ha expresado este miércoles su insatisfacción con la incapacidad de los partidos para acordar una nueva ley electoral para el país.

"Los encuentros de los comités parlamentarios conjuntos para discutir la ley electoral no han logrado aún resultados, y siguen estancados", ha dicho, según ha informado el diario local 'An Nahar'.

"Trataré el asunto durante el encuentro de diálogo nacional del 21 de junio, para que todo el mundo asuma sus responsabilidades", ha manifestado, agregando que "se trata de una pérdida de tiempo".

The state government has not lent support to any indivi­dual to become the next Undang of Jelebu – one of the four most powerful chieftains in Negri Sembilan, among those who are responsible for electing the state’s ruler.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Moha­mad Hasan said that anyone claiming to have his support or that of his administration to become the next Undang of Jelebu was telling a lie.

“The state government does not get involved in such matters. Dis­putes on this can only be decided by the Dewan Keadilan dan Undang,” he said.
