A House of Representatives member confirmed today to Libya Herald that an unofficial consultative meeting was held by over 50 House of Representatives members from the west, centre and south of Libya in Tripoli yesterday. These included members from the city of Misrata.

Kabul, 16 jul.- La Comisión Electoral de Afganistán (IEC) comenzará mañana la auditoría para determinar la validez de los 8,1 millones de votos emitidos en la segunda ronda de la elecciones presidenciales afganas, informó hoy una fuente oficial.
La auditoría empezará por los votos emitidos en Kabul en esta segunda vuelta, que disputan Abdulá Abdulá y Ashraf Gani y cuyas votaciones se celebraron el 14 junio, dijo el portavoz de la IEC, Noor Mohammed Noor, en rueda de prensa en la capital afgana.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has called for a complete “audit” of results of the general elections held in May last year.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, he said: “Time for recounting of votes of four constituencies is over. Now the PTI demands a complete audit of the poll results as is being done in Afghanistan.”
In that country, the election commission has decided to go for recounting after the two leading candidates of recent presidential election contested poll results.
Residents in Tripoli should stay away from areas where there are armed clashes, the government and army have said. They have also called on community elders to intervene and help bring about a peaceful solution to the current crisis.
The government has condemned today’s clashes at Tripoli International Airport saying brigade commanders had acted outside government control.

KABUL (Pajhwok): At a meeting convened by President Hamid Karzai the other day, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) presented its proposal for an additional audit aimed at strengthening the credibility of the country’s electoral process and acceptance of the results from the recent presidential election run-off by both campaigns and Afghans.

Observers have questioned the credibility of four pollsters who called Wednesday’s presidential election for Prabowo Subianto by the narrowest of margins, as seven other quick counts gave Joko Widodo a slightly bigger lead.
“We can’t let this difference between the quick counts cause political turbulence and undermine our democracy,” Rudi Rohi, a political expert at Nusa Cendana University in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, told the Jakarta Globe on Thursday.
