At least seven Palestinians were injured by live bullets today, including a child, when Israeli forces attacked hundreds of protesters taking part in the weekly Great March of Return at the east border of the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

Stationed at borderline watchtowers and in armored military vehicles, Israeli soldiers fired live bullets and rubber-coated steel rounds at the protesters who gathered at many locations along the border, injuring seven of them.

Some of the wounded were moved to hospital and others were treated in the field hospitals.

More than 250 Palestinians have been killed and over 23,000 others injured by Israeli forces since the outbreak of the Great March of Return protests at Gaza border on March 30, 2018.

The weekly protests call for the right of the return of the Palestinian refugees to their homes in pre-1948 historical Palestine and for a full lift of the Israeli blockade of Gaza.
