Abu Dhabi: The Supreme Court’s state security court on Tuesday set May 13 and 14 as the next dates in the trial of a group of Emiratis charged with threatening national security.

At the end of a five-hour session on Tuesday, Presiding Judge Falah Al Hajiri said the court will hear the defence deliberations of the rest of the accused at the next hearing.

Judge Al Hajiri was presiding over the ninth session of the hearing into the case of 94 Emiratis who are part of the Al Islah organisation, accused of plotting to overthrow the government.

The bulk of Tuesday’s session was occupied with the general prosecution office delivering its final arguments on the case.
