ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan took oath as a member of the National Assembly, Express News reported on Wednesday.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq administered his oath.

Imran had missed the official oath-taking ceremony on June 1 on grounds of ill health.

The PTI chairman was recovering from head and back injuries at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital and at home after he fell off a forklift during an election rally in Lahore on May 7.

During his first address to the parliament today, Imran said that the “current situation demands we think like a united nation and fix the problems faced by the country.”

He said the cause of all the issues in Pakistan is absence of justice.

The PTI chairman recalled how Pakistan was prospering in years after its independence and asked the parliamentarians to ponder over where we went wrong.
