As many as 90 nominations, including 26 from women, were received by the National Election Committee on Thursday, the fifth and last day of the candidate registration process for the Federal National Council Elections 2015, taking the total number of registered candidates to 349.
The NEC will declare the preliminary list on August 23, and the final list on August 31. Candidates can request withdrawal not later than September 14.
NEC has urged citizens to ensure their names are in the list by visiting the website www.uaenec.ae or by contacting the call centre on 600500005.
