Pressing issues over Selangor's leadership crisis including the up coming crucial Kajang by-election will not be on the cards during Pakatan Rakyat's 5th National Convention this March 8.

Although pressing the Registrar of Society to have Pakatan formalised as a political entity before the gathering, PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali said that the issue of Kajang was not part of the convention's agenda.

"The question of the Kajang by-election will not arise during the convention and not included in the agenda," he told reporters at a joint Pakatan Secretaries Council here on Tuesday.

However, he said that they would be able to stop delegates who may bring up the issue 'by way of passing' during their speeches.

The upcoming Pakatan Convention will be held at Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam, would by used by the Pakatan leadership to explain to estimated 1,200 delegates why the need for the Kajang by-election.

Also questioned by pressmen was the absence of Pakatan's ally Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) and electoral watchdog Bersih from the convention's observers guest list.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Saifuddin had earlier announced that five Pakatan friendly non-governmental organisations, namely, Belatani, PBS, Geram, Turun and C4, were invited as observers who will address the delegates.

"PSM and Bersih were not invited as there were no decision as to their participation.

"This is a Pakatan convention," he said.
