  • Observations: One of a wave of new parties licensed in 2012 by the Interior Ministry to animate the political scene, El Karama or Dignity was founded by dissidents of the Algerian National Front (FNA), dissatisfied with the leadership of that party's leader Moussa Touati. The party suffered an enormous setback in February 2013 when the party was forced to evict its leader Benhamour who it appeared was guilty of several, possibly criminal, misdeeds.
