The national voter turnout in the referendum on the constitutional amendment bill has reached 13.03 % at 2 p.m., the head of the National Independent Authority for Elections, Mohamed Charfi, said Sunday.
The number of voters has reached 3,070,912, the statement said, adding that the voter turnout has reached 5.88% at 11 o'clock of the morning.
The total number of voters is 24,475,310, including 23,568,012 Algerians at home and 907,298 abroad, according to figures provided by the National Independent Authority for Elections. Charfi cited the provinces of Adrar where the voter turnout was 20.40%, Illizi (30.46%), Sidi Bel Abbes (17.11%), Naama (20.14%), Medea (14.77%), Laghouat (16.08%), El Bayadh (18.08) and Tindouf (42.07 %).
The voter turnout had been 5.88% at 11 a.m. The overall number of voters amounts to 24,475,310, including 907,298 abroad, according to the figures provided by the National Independent Authority for Elections.
